Lataster - An ode to life itself appeared at the eponymous exhibition at Galerie Post + Garcia. The book covers the first decade of this century and consists of three parts: beginning with a survey of paintings by Lataster from the period 2000-2010, followed by Not without you, referring to the impressive documentary film that Petra and Peter Lataster made about the last period of their parents' life together, just before Hermine van Hall's passing away, and finally his most recent works, mostly from 2011.
 

The book includes an introduction by Rick Vercauteren, Director of the Van Bommel van Dam Museum, some recent poems by Frans Budé, portraits by Hugo Thomassen and forty images of mostly new paintings by Lataster. The book also includes a novelty, the Digimarc, an app that allows to bring the six shown stills of several film clips on your smartphone / tablet to life.
